The final phone announced tonight by Sony Ericsson is the K660, which is an HSDPA handset aimed at heavy mobile internet users.

The company’s clearly been thinking hard about the common complaints about web surfing on a mobile phone. You can browse websites in landscape mode, while the navigation nubbin acts as a surrogate mouse for moving around webpages, complete with pan and zoom functions.

Other webby features include dedicated browsing keys that only light up when you’re surfing, and ‘desktop tickers’ that provide updates from selected websites. Google Maps is preloaded, while there’s also a two-megapixel camera on board. The K660 will come in a choice of ‘lime-on-white’ or ‘wine-on-black’ colours when it goes on sale in the first quarter of 2008.
