Philips' Xenium 9@9 mobile phone has a battery life of two months, apparently
We’ve all been there, on a night out, when your mobile phone dies right as you’re trying to phone for a taxi. You can try and carry around a gizmo like Proporta’s emergency charger, but what are the odds you’ll remember to charge that up? The only reasonable answer lies with Philips.
They’ve developed a confusingly-named Xenium 9@9 mobile, which has TWO MONTHS OF BATTERY LIFE. That means theoretically, it’d only need six charges a year, which translates to a couple of charges every two months, then after that maybe a charge every week, but it’s still better than the 48 hours most batteries last for.
Whilst the stand-by time is two months, talk-time is 17 hours. The only other details we could garner about the business phone is that it includes a 65k colour TFT display, VGA camera, microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, and is tri-band GSM/GPRS enabled.
Expect it to be Asia-side only, folks.
