Tascam to launch Mini-Karaoke Bar

Karaoke is to good music what the X Factor is to talent. But both have one thing in common – they’re inexplicably popular. So there should be a market for this Mini-Karaoke Bar from Tascam.

Out in Japan this month (and presumably elsewhere after), it plays back your CDs, removing the vocal so you can sing along and offering two microphone slots in case you fancy a duet. And there’s pitch adjustment, so you can get somewhere near that high note in Angels, as well as speed adjustment. The only thing missing is the words on the screen – but you’ll probably know your faves anyway.

Expect to pay the equivalent of £75.
