Olympus has rolled out a brand new digital SLR to join their other delectable models. Meet the E-3, which is now their flagship model. They’re claiming it has the world’s fastest autofocus (when you use their new Zuiko Supersonic Wave Drive lenses, that is), and is sporting a 10-megapixel Live MOS image sensor. Wey-hey! Read on below for more specs…

The weatherproof magnesium alloy body is apparently dust and splash proof, and features shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th sec. and 5fps sequential shooting. As with most Olympus D-SLRs, it’s got Live View technology so you can view your subject on the 2.5″ LCD screen instead of the viewfinder, before you shoot.

Eager Olympus fans will have to wait until the end of November for the E-3, where it will be priced at £1,099 for the body, otherwise £1,499 for a 14-54mm lens as well, or £1,699 for the 12-60mm lens.
