Don't wet yourself, but Mozilla is launching a Firefox browser for mobile phones in 2008

mozilla-firefox-on-mobile.jpgWe've already got Internet Explorer for mobile phones, Opera, and now that the Holy iPhone is available to us plebs, Safari as well. It's only fair the other big-player amongst the browsers should get a turn, and considering there's about 100 million people using the service, it's about bloomin' time.

Mozilla has let the cat out of the bag (or is that fox?), and told of its plans to create a mobile version of Firefox next year. Mozilla's Engineering VP, Mike Schroepfer, boasted that "People ask us all the time about what Mozilla's going to do about the mobile web, and I'm very excited to announce that we plan to rock it." Rumoured to be able to run extensions and give users tabbed browsing, I'll be dreaming for the next few months about having a matching Super Mario Bros. extension for both my mobile and PC. Mama Mia!
