If the R2D2 speakers were a bit too 'geek' for you, how about something a little more cute - like these Forus Mouse Speakers?
Actually, they look more like Clangers than mice, which gives them an added retro cool. But whatever you see them as, each has a pop-up head that reveals two tiny speakers, which should be adequate for basic sound and there's a choice of colours too, including gloss black, candy apple red, and lime green.
Sadly, these only seem to be selling in Korea right now, but you can bag a pair from Shinsegae Mall, where they sell for the equivalent of just under £10.
