Wine rack fitted with RFID identifies and illuminates wine of your choice

RFID_wine_rack.jpgThe RFID Wine Rack is a great idea for people who have an extensive collection of wine in their home, but don’t really know much about it.

Using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags on each bottle, the rack can be commanded, via a handheld browser, to illuminate bottles which match certain criteria using RGB LEDs.

I can’t see it being much use in my house (I’m lucky if there are two bottles of wine standing in the kitchen, and if there are, they’re not around for long) though a similar system in the supermarket could be interesting – if needing a lot of space to implement.
