nokiasupport2_slingplayer.jpgFollowing Sling Media’s announcement of UK availability of SlingBox PRO and SOLO boxes, they’ve also announced that selected Nokia N and E Series mobile phones running the S60 3rd edition Symbian OS can now use SlingPlayer Mobile software in the UK.

Now users can watch and control their home TV from a compatible, network-connected Nokia N95, Nokia E65, Nokia N73, or Nokia 6120. Additional handsets will be supported in the near future.

“Customers have been calling for this software from the time we first announced support for the Symbian OS last autumn and I am thrilled to be making it available on more devices and more networks with today’s announcement,” said Blake Krikorian, co-founder, chairman and CEO of Sling Media. “SlingPlayer Mobile really enhances the overall mobile experience. People love their living room TV programming and simply want the ability to watch it on any device wherever they happen to be.”

SlingPlayer Mobile is already available for Pocket PC and Windows smartphones, and costs £19.99. The regular desktop version is available for Windows and Mac OS X.
