slingbox_pro_slingbox_solo_uk.jpgSling Media has announced that two of its products (one of which is brand new) are coming to the UK.

The SlingBox PRO has previously only been available in the US and Canada. Featuriing four distinct AV inputs (aerial, S-Video, composite, and HD component), plus an integrated PAL analogue/digital tuner, it allows for seamless integration into a home AV system. Of course, it also comes with the SlingPlayer software which allows you to “placeshift” your viewing anywhere you have a device that’s connected to the Internet.

It will retail for £199.99, and includes an HD Connect cable which I presume will allow the device to be connected to high definition devices.

The SlingBox SOLO, launching worldwide, allows users to connect one AV device, and is targeted at the consumer with a standard or high definition set top box or DVR in their home.

It will retail for £129.99.

Both devices are set up for the UK market and can be used with a wide variety of equipment including Freeview, digital cable and satellite set top boxes from Sky, Virgin Media, Tiscali, and others.
