Life-casting can have a serious impact on your personal safety, says iJustine a year too late

What started as just one man and his camera has slowly evolved into a whole network of lifecasters, people who are more than content with sharing every detail of their lives over the internet, like iJustine, one of the users on Justin.tv, the chap who started the trend.

We've already proclaimed life-casting to be one of the top tech trends for 2007, so it's interesting to read an interview with iJustine about the effects streaming her life 24/7 has on her personal safety. She says that “I not only have to worry about me saying stuff, but I have to be cognizant of what other people are saying around me," and often interrupts people mid-sentence or yells over the top of them, if they're about to share a phone number or email address. Not only does she have to censor some of the information, to protect those around her, but she's "had a lot of people show up places that I am, call hotels and restaurants that I'm at. Everything has to be taken into consideration. I'm also very lucky that nothing bad has happened so far. Makes me think I should quit before it does!”

But of course, the temptation of fame is just too strong for most. *Quickly scurries onto eBay in search of suitable web-cams*
