Turborg has just launched a music-based networking portal which may just give MySpace a run for its money. Targeting 18-25 year olds, the site gives users information about bands touring around the UK, and even reviews written by some of the best music journalists in the industry.
They’ve also collaborated with Live Nation, the people who were behind those gigs a while back in several of the major cities of the world, and will allow people to buy tickets to such gigs.
Anyone who traipsed over to Denmark a few months back for the heavy-metal Roskilde festival may remember Tuborg were one of the larger sponsors of the event, so it’s fairly evident they’re really reaching for fans of music. Here’s hoping the venues are actually stocking their beer though…
