RoboBoa - robot snake meets alarm clock : Tech Digest

In terms of convergence, a robotic snake mixed with an alarm clock isn't an obvious one. But that's what you get with the RoboBoa.

Created by Mark Tilden and WowWee Robotics, it packs in 41 functions, including robotic pet, alarm clock and reading light. But essentially, this is just the latest techno-pet with bells on, a robot snake able to wander round the house, chase things and even dance to music and create a light show if you plug in your MP3 player. It can even shoot 'cannon rounds' at anything in its way.

If you love snakes, the £110 price tag seems reasonable enough, If you don't, this can only add to your nightmares.
