Pentax launches 10 megapixel Optio S10

Another day, another camera launch, this time the 10 megapixel Pentax Optio S10 – smaller than a pack of cards apparently.

Other features include 3x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch screen and an improved Face Recognition technology, which now includes “Natural Skin Tone” mode and a “Half-length Portrait” mode, which automatically takes close-ups of people recognised in the frame. There’s also Digital SR (Shake Reduction) to reduce camera shake and blurring, Auto Picture mode for the best settings according to your conditions and video recording at 30fps.

There’s 22MB of memory, expandable via SD and SDHC card, along with a range of shooting modes. Expect it in mid-September, price to be confirmed.
