Yet another Canon launch - the G9 - which Canon claims has the advanced photographic capabilities of a high-end Digital SLR camera - but in a compact package.
One such feature is RAW mode, rarely found on a compact and in this case with the option of using RAW+JPEG simultaneous capture functionality. The 12.1 megapixel camera also features 6x optical zoom, DIGIC III Image Processor (which you'll also find on the DSLRs announced today), Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS), an Image Inspection Tool, Advanced Face Detection technology, 23 shooting modes and a 3-inch PureColor LCD II screen.
No news on a price or shelf date as yet.
