Sony’s latest home cinema kit, the Bravia Theatre DAV-IS10, uses speakers that can fit in the palm of your hand – but are still able to provide a room-filling sound.

In fact, the five mini speakers and subwoofer offers a total of 550W of surround sound. And that’s not all, using Bravia Theatre Sync, you can set the whole thing up (or calibrate if you like) in just 30 seconds. It also works with your Bravia TV, with one-button operation of all the major functions and it has connectivity to your home network via the Digital Media Port.

Other features include the 21cm wide DAV-IS10 control centre, housing a DVD/CD/MP3 player with DVD upscaling and an RDS FM/AM radio tuner, as well as Bluetooth streaming, Portable Audio Enhancer (which boosts the sound from MP3 players) and HDMI connectivity.

The Sony DAV-IS10 is available from September – no price as yet.
