Medion is again going down that tried and trusted route of offering high-spec at low price in less-than-obvious retailing outlets. This time it’s a 17-inch AMD dual-core MD 96327 notebook at Sainsbury’s.

It looks like decent value for your outlay too, with a 1.6GHz AMD Turion dual-core processor, ATI Mobility Radeon Xpress 1100 PCI Express graphics, 17-inch TFT WXGA widescreen monitor optimised for DVD playback, high definition audio with two integrated loudspeakers and a dual-layer DVD re-writer. There’s also Wi-Fi, alogn with the usual connectivity options, a USB notebook mouse, carry bag and Microsoft Vista Home Premium edition.

The Medion MD 96327 will be available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from the end of July 2007 priced at £499.99
