Match.com expands mobile phone dating service

Even if you fail to pull down the local club or bar, you might find some success in the taxi home with your mobile, courtesy of Match-com’s dating application for handsets.

MatchMobile is launching in the United States, UK and Canada, before rolling out to a further nine countries. It allows subscribers to sign up to text messages, notifying them of any emails from other subscribers. Or if there’s no joy there, allowing you to browse potential suitors via your phone.

The service will be $5 per month extra – no news on a UK price.
