Man releases album – on a NES cartridge

alex_vegavox.jpgHigh-concept, low-tech musician Alex Mauer makes musical sounds using 8-bit and 16-bit computer game hardware.

He’s decided to release his latest collection of bleepy, distorted work on a NES cartridge, which is yours in exchange for $22. The pic to the left there is what you see on your NES screen when you boot up the cart – Alex’s basic 1985-spec MP3 player.
