JVC has launched a new camcorder in Japan, the Everio GZ-HD3, which offers HD recording to its internal drive or to SD card.
It features a 60GB HDD and an SDHC card reader, encoding in MPEG-2 TS. It's not full HD, rather it is HDV, offering a resolution of 1440x1080. In terms of recording, you should get around 25 minutes of recording onto a 4GB SDHC card or five hours onto the HDD, recording at full resolution.
It's just gone on sale in Japan for the equivalent of £600.
