HP unveils retro-styled HP 35s anniversary calculator

I’m not sure how often you use a pocket calculator, chances are ‘not often’ if you spend much of your day at a computer. But if you have a job that requires advanced calculations or you tend to be out and about, you might want to pick up the HP 35s calculator for some answers.

It’s an anniversary model, celebrating 35 years since the company started producing scientific calculators – and this one has the physical look of the original model. But don’t think for a minute that the technology is vintage, it can do just about anything required via its two-line LCD display – and many things you’ll never require. In fact, the functions it offers are so complex, I don’t even understand half of them. But thankfully, it can still show rude words if you hold it upside down.

Available in the coming weeks, initially in the US and in its own custom carrying pouch, the HP 35s sells for $60 (around £30).
