Dacky – the singing robo-dog

Yet more cuteness from Japan, this time mixed with that other national obsession – robots – to create Dacky.

Yes, Dacky is your very own robo-dog, but wrapped up in a cuddly toy. It features six sensors, which help it learn about its surroundings and once you get to know your pet, it will even chat or sing to you. Obviously this will be in Japanese, but if it comes over here, I’m presuming this will feature a new language chip.

Dacky also develops a personality dependent on how it is treated, as well as falling into a sleeping pattern. So basically, everything a real dog does, with the addition of singing and the lack of toilet functions. Sounds good to me. It retails for the equivalent of £90.
