Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system for smartphones has improved with every iteration - something that'll come as no surprise to, well, anyone who's followed the company's activities in other markets, from Windows to Xbox.
However, Bill Gates seems a bit jumpy about the prospect of a GooglePhone, judging by his comments in a New York Times interview:
"How many products, of all the Google products that have been introduced, how many of them are profit-making products? ... They’ve introduced about 30 different products; they have one profit-making product. So, you’re now making a prediction without ever seeing the software that they’re going to have the world’s best phone and it’s going to be free?”
I think that's a sore point right there.
