Adidas rumoured to be teaming up with Samsung for sports phone

adidas-samsung-phone.jpgIt’s apparently called the SGH-F110, and will be an Adidas-branded mobile with a heart-rate monitor linked to its music-playing application, allowing it to blast Napalm Death at you if you AREN’T TRAINING HARD ENOUGH YOU LAZY LITTLE MAGGOT! Or something.

The phone is also reportedly going to have a calorie counter and stepometer. Oh, and a possible voice-coach feature, providing you with a virtual personal trainer to keep you on the straight and narrow (i.e. not jogging into KFC for a Bargain Bucket).

If true, Adidas would be the latest brand to go down the customised-handset route, following the likes of Prada and Armani – we wrote about this last week. Samsung is a logical partner too, given its connection to the Olympic Games as an official sponsor.

  • i think samsungs merge with this sports label is a bold move in the mobile market, i mean who wants a mobile that shouts at you to jog faster and count those calories, Limford Christie perhaps!
