Skype cuts SMS pricing – but only for a week

There’s a good chance that you use Skype – but probably not for sending SMS messages. I certainly don’t know anyone who sends them with Skype. Which is probably why the company is running another price promotion to tempt us in.

This week, the price of sending SMS with Skype is cut by half for 15 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Ireland, the Republic of Korea, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States. In the UK, that’s only 3p anyway – so whether that’s a good deal depends on how many you send and whether you have an entitlement within your mobile contract.
