Oregon Scientific Crystal Weather Station tells the weather in 3D

crystal1.jpgHey, BBC! You can stick your swanky new TV weather map up your Reithian behind! We don't need it any more, now Oregon Scientific has unveiled its Crystal Weather Station. It claims to be the first clock that also shows the weather in 3D. I can't believe there aren't 17 companies doing that already.

Anyway, it's a black digital clock, except on top is a crystal block with laser-engraved 3D weather icons for sun, clouds and rain. One of them lights up to show the day's weather – if it's due to snow, of course, you'll be blissfully unaware. Which is a bit useless, really.
