For many bloggers or indeed website owners, FeedBurner is a rather useful site for promoting content via feeds and emails and a good place to track your reach. Google obviously thinks so too, as it has just bought the site for an undisclosed amount, but rumoured to be around $100 million.

FeedBurner has around 431,000 publishers – and that’s a lot of sites to tap into for its Adsense program. Indeed, on FeedBurner’s blog, the company admits that ads will become a key part of its service. No bad thing – it’s a good way to generate an income for publishers and a good way of attracting more sites.
