It’s often assumed that the market for personal media players (PMPs) is dominated by blokes. Over in South Korea, Digital Cube is aiming to change that with its new device. The M43 iStation sounds like a motorway cafe that lets you charge up your iPod, but is in fact a PMP aimed at 20-30 year-old women.

It comes in 30GB and 60GB models, and has a 4.3-inch touchscreen. You can use it to play music, watch videos, display photos and read e-Books, while it’s also packing a DMB digital TV receiver for telly on the go.

Its elegant white design reminds me a bit of Nintendo’s DS Lite, so despite not having enough ribs to be classed as a lady, I want one already. In Korea it costs the equivalent of £163 (30GB) and £217 (60GB).
