Dell is taking a leaf out of Sony’s book, launching a colourful new computer range under the Inspiron label, including what’s described as the world’s thinnest notebook – the XPS M1330.

As well as the 13.3-inch XPS M1330 notebook, Dell also launched the Inspiron 530 and 531 desktops, Inspiron 1720, 1721 (17-inch) and Inspiron 1520 and 1521 (15.4-inch) notebooks – all very media-friendly, as well as featuring built-in optional mobile broadband and a choice of eight colours, including Ruby Red, Midnight Blue and Jet Black. That flagship XPS M1330 weighs 1.8kg and is just 0.9-inch thin, packed into a magnesium alloy frame with brushed aluminium accents. It’s available in Tuxedo Black, Pearl White or Crimson Red.
