Yahoo is using its influence to try and tackle climate change by launching a new website to educate US internet user.
The new Yahoo Green site will feature the latest environmental news and also tips and advice to help users do their bit to combat climate change.
User can also make a pledge to save carbon emissions, which are recored on the front page of the site. Tips for reducing carbon emissions include using energy saving light bulbs and turning down your thermostat by two degrees.
Yahoo’s services are used by an estimated 500 million monthly users. The company has made a pledge to become carbon neutral by the end of 2007.
