Sony VAIO FZ-Series laptops – Blu-ray and HDMI output

Sony has launched the VAIO FZ-Series of laptops, packing a Blu-ray drive, HDMI output and the latest Intel Centrino platform.

he VAIO FZ-Series uses the NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT notebook graphics processing unit (GPU), which offers 3D imaging and hardware HD decoding capable of very high bit rate playback. And of course, there’s the Blu-ray drive, which can offer 50GB of storage per disc and output HD via HDMI to your HD-ready TV.

A typical specification includes the Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, 2GB memory, 15.4-inch widescreen X-black LCD, 200GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Windows Vista Home Premium, all packed into a case constructed of magnesium alloy.
