itvlogo.gifThe latest thing every broadcaster has to do is to get some of its content online for users to digest after the event.

The BBC has had the go-ahead to launch its iPlayer service (though we don’t know when it will go live), and Channel 4 seem very happy with 4oD take up.

Now it’s ITV’s turn.

Their revamped ITV.com website will feature an exclusive daily “made for broadband” show from UK documentary maker Roger Graef, with each three-minute episode featuring members of the public offering a snapshot of their lives.

ITV will also offer old game shows (think Blockbusters, Catchphrase, and Family Fortunes), plus live sporting coverage and highlights, and a news site focusing heavily on user-generated content.

“Today we are combining the best of TV with the best of the web to create a service unrivalled by any other commercial broadcaster, anywhere in the world,” said ITV executive chairman Michael Grade. “Some are already streaming their channels, some are providing catch-up, and some building their archive, but ITV.com will provide all three.”

No further information is yet available on exact content, or how much it will cost consumers to access it.
