Pioneer's budget Blu-ray Disc drive

Pioneer is launching a Blu-ray drive for around £170. But there’s a catch – the BDC-S02 is read-only for the HD format.
There’s two versions of the drive set for launch – one heading to manufacturers and one for the retail market, both in a choice of black or beige. The BDC-S02 can read single- and dual-layer BD, BD-R and BD-R media, along with a range of CD and DVD discs, plus Video CD. Write speeds for DVD and CD media are up to 24x.
The BDC-202, is due to become available to buy in the US at the end of May, and in the UK in June. Certainly seems like a cheap way of getting a foot on the HD ladder.
