Pioneer is soon to launch a stylish all-in-one home cinema system under the name LX01, designed to fit in with the company’s new plasma screens.

It’s got pretty much everything covered, except for a high-def player, but it does have HDMI connectivity and the ability to upscale existing DVD titles to 1080p. There’s also a 250GB drive, which can record TV from the built-in Freeview tuner as well as storing music tracks that have been ripped from CDs or transferred from your PC. There’s also a recordable DVD player too, in case you want to save a copy of your favourite show or movie.

The audio system features four surround speakers and a subwoofer, with the speakers featuring a 3D shape for a more expansive sound. And there’s also a touchscreen remote, separate LED display unit and glossy black finish.

It should be around in October – no price as yet.
