Nintendo launches free download stations for DS owners at airports

What is it about airports? There’s plenty of entertainment possibilities (especially if you’re into retail therapy), but you just can’t escape that feeling of terminal boredom (no pun intended). Well, to save you from feverishly playing with your mobile or spending money you haven’t got on designer sunglasses, Nintendo has teamed up with Delta Airlines to provide download stations at selected airports.

The download stations offer demo versions of some of Nintendo’s leading titles, including Brain Training, Elite Beat Agents and Tomb Raider: Legend. And if you like them, you’re probably a stone’s throw from a retailer to buy the full version.

There is a downside. It’s currently limited to selected US airports. But if it works, it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see this rolled out with more airports and airlines.
