Clothing designed by Olivia Ong for this year's Cornell Design League fashion show wasn't just hip or chic, it also destroyed smog and VOC particles. The fabric is impregnated with nanoparticles that not only give the garment futuristic health benefits, but even create colour and sheen without conventional dyes. It could soon be required wearing for those of us with severe chemical allergies (though at a price of $10,000 per square meter of material, design had better be timeless and durable). [GT]
