Motorola has launched the first “kick slider” device, the Motorola Z8, which also offers fast HSDPA connectivity. That means downloads at 3.6Mbps.

Other features include an ultra-high resolution mobile screen that operates in both portrait and landscape, video capture and playback at speeds of up to 30 frames-per-second, a music player similar to the one in the RAZR2, up to 32GB of expandable memory and slot for a microSD card, which can boost it up to another 4GB.

There’s also mobile TV access to streamed content from the likes of CNN and BSkyB, plus mobile gaming (there’s an Electronic Arts demo on the handset). And just to show things off, Motorola is shipping the Bourne Identity on microSD card as a freebie, along with a ROKR S9 stereo Bluetooth 11 headset.

No price or launch date as yet, we’ll keep you posted.
