LG has announced the launch of its first touch screen video MP3 player.

The MFFM37 "Touch Me" player features a 2.4 inch LCD touch screen with 320x240 resolution. It comes with up to 4GB of memory and can play back MP3, WMA, and OGG music, and MPEG4 and WMV9 movie files.

LG's Mobile XD Engine improves picture quality by controlling screen brightness, colour and contrast.

Its 10EQ auto equaliser offers preset sound set-ups such as "stadium", "concert" and "club", and is supposed to automatically set the appropriate effect from information stored in the song's ID3 tag.

It connects to a PC, for organising music and video, via USB 2.0, and runs from an internal lithium battery.

The LG MFFM37 measures just 51.5mm wide, 90mm long and 9.9mm thick.

It will be available from June, price to be confirmed.

Seems like touch screen technology is the must have addition to gadgets this summer.
