The service, which is integrated with Google Earth, has been available in the US for a while. But this is a UK-specific application, with enhanced route planning, local searches for businesses and local traffic information. On top of that, a call button gives you one-touch access to any business you might find in the area.
The downside is a lack of traffic information at launch and the data-heavy nature of the product. That’s not a problem if you’re paying for an unlimited data tariff on your handset. But if you’re not, maybe reaching for that Yellow Pages is a better offer. Or if you’re out and about, asking a policeman.
It’s available to download now.
