Full movies in your pocket with the Tornado media player

Advanced MP3 players are selling the Tornado media player under their own name, but it seems like a re-brand from Hong Kong-based Sheng Hsin.

The 2GB memory and fairly basic looks aren't going to get your pulse racing, but it does have one nifty feature - using the supplied software, it can easily convert video files from any recognised format (including straight from standard DVD discs - copyright permitting) to the lesser-known MTV format. That means you can playback via the 65k display out and about, with the memory enough to hold least 3 - 4 full-length movies or up to 400 digital audio files if you want to use it for audio.

Other features include an FM radio, voice recorder, text reader, short and long-play recording and graphic equaliser. All of that will set you back a reasonable £89.
