Fujitsu has unveiled what’s claimed to be the smallest Windows Vista PC – the Fujitsu LifeBook FMV-U8240, which features a 5.6-inch display and weighs just 580g.

It uses Intel’s Ultra Mobile Platform and the new A110 processor, with the machines offering 20GB hard drives and 10/100Mbps Ethernet, plus 512MB to 1GB of DDR 2 memory, depending on your choice of model. There’s also a full QWERTY keyboard and rotating screen.

So far, these are Japan-only, but who knows? If they go down a storm, we might see them here. Prices at launch start at the equivalent of £603, rising to £1364 for the top-end business model.
