Wacom has launched the PL-521, a high-resolution 15-inch LCD equipped with a digital pen, so you can write, annotate and navigate directly with the pen on the screen – ideal for an interactive presentation.

The 15-inch screen offers XGA resolution with 1024 x 768 pixels and 16.2 million colours. The stand is fully adjustable enabling the display to change positions from 140 degrees horizontal to 130 degrees vertical. The ergonomically designed cordless and battery-free pen provides 512 pressure levels and has a programmable double side-switch.

It also comes with JustWrite Office – a Microsoft Office plug-in to directly add handwritten notes, comments, scribbles and signatures to Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. The Screen Markup feature enables users to insert handwritten annotations, highlights or graphics into any programme and then save these changes as an image file. There’s also a VGA (RGB) pass-through connector to connect a video projector for a larger audience.

The PL-521 is available from April and is priced at £699 excluding VAT.
