Was it only a few months back when retailers offered "value" deals to take advantage of the UK clamour for a new PlayStation 3? Fast forward to April and we're now seeing retailer-instigated price cuts.
Yes, Sony might be happy with its new console's price point, but some retailers aren't so sure. First up are WH Smith and Play.com - both knocking £25 off the retail price, pushing it under the £400 mark. The WH Smith offer is for a short time, the Play.com offer is ongoing - and they're throwing in a HDMI cable, the movie Click on Blu-ray and free delivery.
Rumours abound of a Sony price cut later in the year, so it you are still undecided, it might be worth hanging on for a while. Or check out Shiny Media's PSPSPS.TV for all the latest news, views and features - that might tempt you into buying one.
