Philips has launched the X200 “Longneck” laptop, with an extendable widescreen display. That means the screen is on an arm, so it can be completely maneuvered to the front of the unit – which is good in confined spaces.

In terms of specification, the Windows Vista machine features an Intel Core Duo ULV2500 processor, 1024MB RAM, 100GB hard drive, dual layer DVD re-writer and that 12.1-inch widescreen display.

There’s also 128MB Intel GMA 950 shared graphics and Wi-Fi. It’s available now from PC World, with a £849.99 price tag.
