Philips has launched the 200WS8 (20-inch) and 220WS8 (22-inch) widescreen LCD monitors, claimed to have the lowest power consumption in the industry.

Designed for professional use, the monitors offer 1680×1050 resolution and are certified for Windows Vista, allowing you to use the operating system’s ‘sidebar’ feature for organising applications. They also offer the lowest power consumption in the industry. When powered on, the monitors perform at 10% below Energy Star requirements – which should save you some money over a year.

Features include hot keys and on-screen controls to quickly adjust display settings, dual connections to receive both analog VGA and digital DVI signals and a widescreen display that allows two A4 pages to be viewed side-by-side or two files to be simultaneously opened for comparison and editing.

The 200WS8 and 220WS8 are both available now with approximate selling prices of £199.99 and £329.99 respectively.
