If fast Wi-Fi wherever you go is top on your list for deciding where to visit, then the City of London should rate highly on your list from today.

The Cloud has turned on its Wi-Fi network covering the Square Mile providing wireless broadband to 350,000 people. What’s more, it’s all free for the first month, thanks to those kind folks at Nokia.

The network has been in development and testing for 12 months and it’s Europe’s densest city wide Wi-Fi network, made up of 127 nodes. Thankfully it’s designed to blend in to the background being built onto existing structure such as lamp posts and street signs.
