Most of us have some old computer equipment lying around the house – but if you’re in the London area, you can do something about it, by donating it to Maxitech in support of Earth Day 2007.

Anything that can be refurbished (computers, mobile phones and IT equipment) will be donated to the children’s charity NCH. Anything else will be sold, the proceeds of which will go to support disadvantaged people get qualifications leading to jobs in IT. You can drop off your unwanted kit at the Maxitech premises at Unit A10, The Chocolate Factory, 5 Clarendon Road, London N22 6XJ at any time between 10am and 6pm on 21st and 22nd April.

Kam Matharu, NCH’s Head of Children & Technology, says: “Every child deserves the chance to take advantage of new technology regardless of their background or situation. The launch of this innovative scheme will improve the lives of many of the young people and their families that we work with by making IT more accessible.”
