It’s not unusual for companies to tempt new customers with tempting free offers, but it is unusual for them to offer the same deals to existing users. But that’s what Virgin Mobile is doing by offering free music downloads to 3G handsets.

The offer runs from 1st March through to 28th May 2007 and is available to old and new customers with both contract and prepay phones – as long as they have a 3G phone. There is a limit – 25 full tracks (worth around £37.50), selected from the company’s music catalogue – Virgin Mobile Bites.

If you don’t have a 3G phone, you can update to one of Virgin’s new range, which includes the Sony Ericsson Walkman W850i and W880i, plus the K800i and K610i. To sign up for the free music, visit the company’s website.
