Leica has announced a new addition to its stylish range of digital cameras - the 7.2 megapixel C-LUX 2.
In terms of looks, it maintains the slimline metallic styling that's become the Leica trademark and is available in black or silver. The C-LUX 2 also features a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 3.6x zoom lens, integrated optical stabilizer (IOS) and a new high-speed image signal processor, previously found in the Digilux 3 SLR, which improves image processing and storage inside the camera.
It's also Leica's first model to feature Intelligent ISO exposure control - used with the IOS should improve focus in poor light or when capturing fast-moving objects. Available with a 64MB SD card, it should be on sale in May 2007, price to be confirmed.
