It’s only logical that where you’ve got people generating heat, someone’s going to want them to generate light. In this case, that means a gym in Hong Kong has hooked up batteries to their exercise machines, so that the activity of the patrons charges the place up. It doesn’t do as much as one might hope – certainly not enough to power the entire place – but as demand rises, surely gadgets will gallantly rise to meet them. [GT]
