Another launch from Sony Ericsson, this time the PC300, an addition to the company’s mobile connectivity card range, adding HSDPA (super 3G) to the expected connection speeds, which means download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps.

The PC300 is Sony Ericsson’s first to support four generations of wireless technology – HSDPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS and it has a fully integrated, unobtrusive antenna (just over 1cm) so you can keep it in your laptop all the time. According to Sony Ericsson, getting connected is simple – just slide the card into your PC Card slot and it detects the wireless technology that is available, offering the fastest possible connection.

According to Johan Tysklind, marketing director, Mobile Computing for Sony Ericsson: “You no longer have to put up with slower speeds from your broadband connection just because you’re away from the office or home. There’s hardly anywhere in the world that doesn’t have coverage for one of these four generations of wireless technology so you’ll always find a connection.”

The PC300 card will be available worldwide from the third quarter of 2007.
